The Fall of a Don: In Love
Compilations from a Don
Chasing peaks is a thrill on its own.
I’ve shared many stories of mine — the highs, the chaos, the moments that felt too good not to tell. Most of them, I passed on to my closest friends while they were still fresh. That way, they received them as they were meant to be felt — unfiltered, accurate, alive.
This one started the same way.
Sirens lined up, ready to conquer the Don. Some came close. A few even succeeded. But out of all of them, one stood apart — not because she tried harder, but because she didn’t try at all. While the others fell out of my favour, I found myself falling into hers.
It had been years since I moved the way I did with her.
Long phone calls turned short distances into nothing. Stories flowed easier. I started noticing the caution I had thrown to the wind — not gone, just quiet. And somehow, in the middle of everything around me falling apart, keeping things intact with her became my source of energy.
We weren’t the same. Not even close.
Our tastes didn’t align the way you’d expect them to. But there was something in that difference — a flavour that kept me coming back. Something about her presence slowed everything down. My face softened. My thoughts settled. Happiness still felt foreign, but satisfaction? That ruled my days.
So I compiled this.
Not for the chase.
Not for the highs.
But for that rare feeling of things just… sitting right.
The Fall of a Don: In Love isn’t about losing control. It’s about finding a version of yourself you didn’t expect to meet — calm, present, and fully in it.
Looking back, I can appreciate it for what it was.
A moment.
A feeling.
A fall that didn’t break me — just brought me closer.
Enjoy loudly. Stay sound.
