I can’t recall the exact moment or what I was doing when I compiled it, but I do know every song reflects the nature of the game. In this world, you either play or get played.
This collection was born after we vibed to August 28, 2020 in a car, the same way we moved through life—effortlessly. I was riding shotgun, Matt was behind the wheel, and the Star Player sat in the back, poised like a defender guarding her territory. We were deep into the session when she turned to me, intrigued by the sounds, and asked for her own playlist—something she could run with.
Time passed, and we eventually lost contact, but every now and then, her game comes up in conversation. Wherever she is, I hope she’s doing well, and if she’s still in the game, I know she’s dominating her competition. Her skill was undeniable, and her presence unforgettable.
