The Afro Grind II: Still Grinding
Compilations from a Don
Too deep in the grind to see the sparks.
That’s what those days felt like. Heavy, but slightly less dark. Hard, but familiar. As the days moved, the hustle did not tire — it grew roots, it grew rhythm, and it grew with the fruits that eventually follow intention.
This one is for the ones still up while the world is asleep. For the ones sowing their reap, shaping their tomorrow with restless hands and sharper dreams. It was born in a moment where I felt unsettled by settling — where the life I saw for myself demanded more than silence and survival. The code needed refactoring, and the process began with sound.
This sequel forced itself into existence. The blur from those days swallowed the details, to the point where I’d forgotten it even lived in my archive. What I do remember is this: I took my time. Time hasn’t healed everything, but it has revealed more than I knew to ask for. The lessons, the shifts, the grind beneath the grind.
As the season settles, let your restless energy find rhythm here. Let these afrocentric hustler anthems sharpen your hunger and shape your intention. “Closed mouths don’t get fed on this boulevard” — and this boulevard rewards those who keep their spark warm and their grind honest.
Let the fire rise. Let the season shape you.
Enjoy loudly. Stay sound.
